The Company has acquired ISO 9001:2015 certification on the basis of superior quality and in-house capability of design, development & manufacturing of custom-built Hydraulic Cylinders, meeting the stringent quality standards as per customer’s requirements & specifications. With the state-of-the-art manufacturing units based in Bangalore, the Company caters to the product and service requirements of customers across India.

About Our History

Island Hydraulics was established in the year 1994. The company has graduated to the next level over a period of time to become one of the leaders in the manufacture and supply of hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Going forward the company has plans to diversify into hydro-pneumatic cylinders and hydraulic power packs with an aim to provide complete hydraulic solutions to customers under one roof.

1994

Company started

Company started with a humble beginning in manufacturing hydraulic cylinders having interchangeable sealing systems. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

2000

Few OEMs came on board

Few OEMs came on board like BFW Ltd, Greaves Cotton Ltd, Fouress Engineering, BFL, etc.

2005

Company’s Act

Company incorporated under the Company’s Act.                                                                                                                                                                                                            

2010

Company’s existence got noticed pan-India

Company’s existence got noticed pan-India , started participating in important exibitions like Imtex, Excon. Started getting more enquiries.

2015

New Customers

Many more OEMs and end customers came on board like Roots Multiclean, KGR Rigs & Mining, Paranthaman Exporters, KLR Industries, Rail Wheel Factory, etc.

2018

Company got the QMS upgraded

Company got the QMS upgraded from 2008 version to ISO 9000-2015 version certified by TUV Nord.

2019

Infrastructure got upgraded

Added new CNC machineries. Also started adding highly knowledgeable and experienced man-power. Manufacturing is headed by a senior officer who is ex-Wipro Infrastructure. The company was awarded the best MSME under the Small Manufacturing category by Peenya Industries Association. This year the company celebrated 30 years of being in existence with a get-together with employees and their families.                                               

2020

Company underwent an expansion mode

Added 2 more units in Peenya industrial estate Bangalore and a unit in Dabaspet, 40 kms from Bangalore off the Bangalore-Mumbai highway. Successful product diversification into hydro-pneumatic cylinders and supplying them to Machine Tools manufacturing companies like BFW, Lokesh Machines, AMS, etc.

2021

Company got CE Certificate of Conformity, hence throwing open the door for Exports

The company is going all-out to go global, hence focusing on areas like Digital Marketing to have quick and more reach.                                                                                                                           &n

2022

Further expansion underway in the main plant

Further expansion underway in the main plant. In the later part of the year, the company moved to a new bigger facility in Peenya industrial area having an area of 20000 sq ft by way of forward integration. Most of the manufacturing processes of hydraulic cylinders happen under one roof thus facilitating ease of operations and reduction of overall lead times.
2023

Added new Washing and Drying Machine

Added new Washing and Drying Machine to facilitate thorough cleaning of the cylinder components before being taken for assembly. With this it is able to control the contamination level and improve the cleanliness level of the hydraulic cylinder components on par as required by hydraulic industry standards. The company also focusing on implementation of some of the best industry working practices like 5S House Keeping, Kaizen ( Continual Improvements ) , Kanban system to strive for quicker deliveries to customers, best suggestion scheme rewards, etc.

2024

In order to further strengthen our team

The company recruited highly knowledgeable and experienced people in the hydraulic industry in the areas of Production , PPC , Quality , Design, Purchase and Marketing functions. With these initiatives it aims to grow big in the years to come in line with it’s clear Vision and Mission.

The company has got Quality Management System – ISO 9001:2015 Certification from TUV NORD and also got CE Certification of Conformity.

Existing Infrastructure

We have a well-established state-of-the-art infrastructure in our multiple units located in Peenya Industrial Estate Bangalore for manufacturing hydraulic cylinders in-house. Some of the machineries we have are CNC Turning Centers, CNC Machining Centers, Conventional Lathes, Drilling Machines, Milling Machines , Honing Machines, Cylindrical Grinding Machines, Band-Saw Machines, Welding Area with semi-automatic welding machines, high pressure Jet Washing Machine , Assembly and Testing Areas comprising of Horizontal and Vertical Test Rigs, high pressure Hydraulic Power Pack, Paint Booth, etc

Also available are material handling equipments like overhead Cranes, Stackers , Air Compressors , Generator for back up. We also have a well established vendor base to undertake special processes like heat treatment, hard chrome plating , powder coating, etc. Our design department works with state-of-the-art softwares like autocad, 2D, 3D modelling, solid-works, and our entire organization is supported and driven by robust systems and ERP.

Future Growth Plans

We have our own land and a big shed measuring around 20000 sq ft in Dabaspet, around 40 kms from Bangalore off the Bangalore-Mumbai highway . This will be our extended production arm going forward which will supplement our existing production units . With this we will be able to cater to the requirements of customers globally.
